If you have found reconciliation with YHVH through the blood of Lord Yeshua Christ, you will
experience through the Holy Spirit the pure Godness of G-d, the bare reality that He is the awesome
sovereign G-d of all creation. A G-d that requires to be exulted!
The most important thing to acknowledge and the most fundamental thing about exultation is that it
is all about YHVH. YHVH is the only true sovereign G-d and He alone must be exulted and exalted
for that. It is one of the most wonderful, staggering and pleasant things in the world to discover that
He that is greater than you can also be within you. I cannot separate the delight I have in YHVH.
YHVH our Father as supremely holy and loving G-d, I have in Him the delight as absolutely
sovereign. Him being G-d and Him being sovereign gives us more so the reason to exult and exalt in
the Lord.
The difference is that "exaltation" means making much of someone “like G-d” - which is a great thing
to do, but "exultation" means exalting and more - Worship, praise, honour, glorify and dedicate.
And Hannah prayed and said, “My heart exults in the Lord; my strength is exalted in the Lord. My
mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation. 1 Samuel 2:1
Exultation adds that emotional fulfillment of joy in YHVH that we believe is essential if YHVH is
going to be honored the way He should be. Another word for exultation in YHVH is "worship."
When you exult in YHVH, you not only make more of Him, you make more of Him by rejoicing in
Him and delighting in Him and being glad in Him.
All these things rest on the deep and glorious sovereignty of YHVH. If YHVH is not sovereign, He
would not be G-d and all our hope is dashed.
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection
over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. Psalm 5:11
Where do we begin? We start right at the beginning, the root of all and the foundation. We cherish
the Lord our YHVH by exultation and rejoice for all the grace, all the love, all the patience, all the
faithfulness, all the forgiveness, all the security and hope and peace and joy.
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my G-d, for he has clothed me with the
garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks
himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Isaiah 61:10
The LORD your G-d is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with
gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17
“Hallelujah! For the Lord our G-d the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the
glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was
granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous
deeds of the saints. Revelation 19:6-8
YHVH's commitment to being G-d and being known as G-d is clearly stated throughout chapters of
the word. If we lose the sovereignty of YHVH, we eventually lose YHVH. The sovereignty of YHVH is
the cornerstone of life.
“You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3
I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior. Isaiah 43:11
Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: “I am the first and I
am the last; besides me there is no god. Who is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and
set it before me, since I appointed an ancient people. Let them declare what is to come, and what
will happen. Fear not, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? And you are
my witnesses! Is there a G-d besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any.”Isaiah 44:6
But if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments
and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, then I
will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, and the house that I have consecrated for
my name I will cast out of my sight, and Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all
peoples. 1 Kings 9:6-7
Yet you have forsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more. Judges 10:13
Let’s read what the prophet Isaiah wrote. What a vision of YHVH he had!
Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, and the deaf, even though they
have ears. All the nations have gathered together so that the peoples may be assembled. Who
among them can declare this and proclaim to us the former things? Let them present their
witnesses that they may be justified, Or let them hear and say, "It is true." "You are My
witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and
believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no G-d formed, And there will be
none after Me. "I, even I, am the LORD, And there is no savior besides Me. "It is I who have
declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My
witnesses," declares the LORD, "And I am G-d. "Even from eternity I am He, And there is none
who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?" Isaiah 43:8-13
His being G-d and his being sovereign are one. How do we know that? You can see the answer by
comparing the last line of verse 12 with its explanation in verse 13. YHVH cries out at the end of
verse 12, "I am G-d! Even from eternity I am he! (Here is what I mean) there is none who can deliver
out of my hand; I act and who can reverse it?" YHVH lifts up the fact that he is G-d: "I am G-d!" And
then he fills it with its most basic meaning. "I act, and no one can reverse it!"
YHVH is painstaking to declare that He is G-d and He alone. YHVH declared that through the
prophet Isaiah, He is willing to go so far as to claim ultimate sovereign responsibility for all the
calamities of the world. "I am the one who forms light and creates darkness, who causes prosperity
and creates calamity; I am the Lord who does all these things." YHVH take responsibility for all the
disasters of the world? Because YHVH is G-d, and that means he is sovereign. He acts and none can
reverse it.
YHVH chooses people to know him and trust him and understand him and then to be his witnesses
in a G-d-denying culture. We read all of this in verse 10 "You are My witnesses," declares the LORD,
"And My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me and understand that I
am He. Before Me there was no G-d formed, and there will be none after Me."
But who is YHVH referring to in this verse? He is talking about those whom He had freely chosen
from all the people of the earth. Those who know Him, trust Him and understand Him. YHVH's aim
is to be known and glorified in the whole world. YHVH pursue this through human witnesses. YHVH
chooses recruits and equip these witnesses from among the nations, and then grant them to know
and trust Him, and to understand that he is G-d - that He is our sovereign G-d.
Further in Isaiah 46:9-10 you see again how deity and sovereignty come together again. "I am G-d!"
And: "I will accomplish all my good pleasure!"
Remember the former things long past, for I am G-d, and there is no other; I am G-d and there is
no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not
been done, saying, "My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure."
It is by grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and not of
yourselves, it is the gift of YHVH; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Salvation is
not through works for if it was then man would boast that they are good.
The Lord's intention was to have “man” see that nothing they do will ever make them achieve
salvation. Good works is not sufficient for getting into heaven. He sees our good works as "filthy
rags" (Isaiah 64:6).
Titus 3:5 says, "He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but
according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit."
"But G-d demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us." Romans 5:8
YHVH delights in those who boast that they know and understand Him and not through our own
good works.
but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who
practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight,
declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:24
I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their
G-d, for they shall return to me with their whole heart. Jeremiah 24:7
We dare not leave out the message of how YHVH saves through the death and resurrection of
Yeshua. But the fullness of that gospel and the surety of that gospel, and indeed the intelligibility of
the gospel will hang on the content of the witness commanded in Isaiah 43:10-13.
Despite the fact that the Lord demands total holiness, He had His Son die for us so that His blood
would wash our sins and be holy before YHVH for we were bought with a price. The Lord says that
salvation is obtained through faith in the death of His Son Yeshua Christ and in His resurrection.
We are saved through the grace of YHVH through a Savior who acts as an intercessor. "For there is
one G-d, and one mediator also between G-d and men, Christ Yeshua" 1 Timothy 2:5. |
